It wasn’t a surprise that Clio found the Lipsticks. Escape was everything to her. As a kid, the only safe place away from her chaotic home was the Nowhere Public Library. In the library, Clio felt freedom for the first time in her life. Her controlling alcoholic mother couldn’t tell her what to read or think. For once, she had the liberty to make her own decisions, to be her own person. Clio went every day and read the magazines. Her imagination grew with every page she turned. The exotic photo shoots. The beautiful clothes. Up until then, she had lived a very small life, but at the library, the whole world revealed itself. One day, Clio swore to herself that if she read enough fashion magazines it was all going to pay off for her. Those magazines were the best friends she ever had. They made her dream.

My favourite pixie, you’re writing wonderfully as always. What you’re showing in this story is so so … I can relate to Clio (and to the writer of Said one), I also feel a darkness going to hop like a devil from it’s box at some point. Make me think of “Pretties” the book series. Alsooo I was writing today for tomorrow’s post about … Escape. 🤍 xoxo, yours truly, etc
